Accommodation

We have secured preferential rates for our conference guests at a range of nearby hotels.  These promotional codes and specific contact details will be emailed to you once have registered for the conference.   

Please note that the preferential rates will not be available after 27 May and normal booking will apply.

UCL Alumni are also eligible to receive London Hotel Discounts:  UCL has negotiated discounted rates with a number of hotels in the London Bloomsbury area. To receive a full list of the hotels and your unique alumni discount code, please contact the Alumni Relations team. You will need to show your UCL Alumni Card upon arrival at the hotel.

Badge

Each participant will receive a name badge upon check-in at the registration desk. The badge will be the official conference pass and should be worn at all times in order to gain entry into the meeting room.

Certificate of attendance

Regularly registered participants will receive a certificate of attendance.

Credit Cards

Major credit cards are accepted by hotels, shops and restaurants.

Currency

The official currency in the UK is the British Pound (£) (GBP).

Insurance

Participants are requested to make their own arrangements with respect to health and travel insurance.

Language

The official language of the conference is English and no simultaneous translation is foreseen during the scientific sessions.

Smoking Policy

As per British law, smoking is not allowed within the venue.

Weather

London has a mild humid temperate climate with warm summers and no dry season. The month of July is characterized by essentially constant daily high temperatures, with daily highs around 22°C throughout the month, exceeding 26°C or dropping below 18°C only one day in ten.
